The Process & Appointments

The process usually begins with a short discovery call to understand your situation and confirm whether this approach is a good fit. From there, you will meet with the health coach before your medical consultation. This helps gather relevant background and ensures the first appointment with me is as focused and useful as possible.

First appointments generally run for one hour. This allows time to properly cover your history and the factors contributing to your health concern. Follow-up appointments are typically shorter and focused on reviewing progress and adjusting the plan.

The health coach works closely alongside you and Dr Chloe. They assist with gathering comprehensive background health history, dietary patterns, and lifestyle markers prior to your medical consultation, and provide practical implementation support, nutrition guidance, and accountability throughout your care.

Because functional medicine and deprescribing address layered root drivers rather than quick symptom suppression, care is typically sequenced over a period of 3 to 6 months (and longer for staged medication tapers or complex chronic conditions). Follow-up visits are spaced according to your recovery pace and biomarker retesting intervals.

Yes. Both in-person appointments at Foundations Clinic in Wilston (Brisbane) and secure video telehealth consultations are available for patients across Queensland and interstate Australia.

No referral is required to book an appointment. You are welcome to book directly through the online scheduling system or submit an enquiry.

Any recent blood test results, a list of current medications and supplements, and a rough timeline of your health journey are helpful. Our health coach will also guide you through pre-appointment intake forms so we have a complete picture ready for Dr Chloe.

Practice Model & Fees

Consultation fees reflect the comprehensive, dedicated time and investigative nature of functional medicine care (including health coach intake and thorough 60-minute initial medical appointments). A detailed fee schedule is provided upon enquiry and prior to booking. Depending on consultation format and eligibility, Medicare rebates apply to portions of your medical appointments.

Dr Chloe provides specialized functional and longevity consultations focused on complex conditions, mental health deprescribing, and proactive healthspan. Because these appointments are dedicated and scheduled in advance, she does not provide urgent same-day or acute general practice care. All patients are advised to maintain an active relationship with an everyday regular GP for acute, urgent, or routine medical needs.

A first consultation runs for a full hour and goes significantly wider than a standard 10-minute appointment. Rather than focusing on symptom management in isolation, we examine your comprehensive biological, environmental, regulatory, emotional, and lifestyle layers to understand why the problem developed.

Clinical Investigations & Areas of Care

Yes, where clinically indicated. In addition to extensive blood panels read against optimal functional ranges, Dr Chloe may order specialised functional testing such as comprehensive microbiome mapping (GI-MAP), DUTCH hormone mapping, thyroid antibody testing, advanced metabolic/inflammatory markers, and environmental toxin testing.

Yes. I take TSW seriously and provide careful support focused on skin recovery and the wider factors that can influence it. We work at a pace that matches how you are progressing, without pressure to restart topical steroids.

Yes — this is a particular focus of mine, for people where it is clinically appropriate. I favour a gradual, carefully staged taper adjusted to how you are actually responding rather than a fixed schedule, with proper clinical support through withdrawal effects.

This is one of the most common reasons people seek functional medicine. Conventional reference ranges often detect only overt disease states. We look at optimal ranges and explore the overlapping physical, environmental, regulatory, and emotional layers to uncover the drivers behind persistent symptoms.

Yes — that is exactly who this is for. Longevity medicine is a proactive look at your health while you're well, so we can understand your risks early and build a practical plan for the years ahead, rather than waiting until something has gone wrong.
